This podcast is for you, especially if you have ever dreamed of thru-hiking.
I listened to Sounds of the Trail on a recent long-drive. I suggest you skip the first two episodes and go to the third where the podcast really finds its footing, so to speak.
Some episodes focus on particular topics, like hiking with a partner or what hikers do off the trail. Otherwise, it follows a few hikers making their way either on the AT or PCT. Listen to the podcast to unscramble those acronyms.
It’s refreshing and transporting to hear people being sopassionate about the outdoors and nature. The blister and poop tales of the trail are not for the squeamish, but this does give you a good idea of what it’s really like to do a thru-hike. I will settle for listening all about it.
